Am a sole proprietor, when I went to a bank recently to open a current account under my business name they told me that the business name needs to be registered (I thought sole proprietors don't need to have to register under Registrar or Companies) and secondly, I'd need to have a TAN to deduct tax at source. But I have two employees who don't fall under taxable limits, do I really need a TAN?. I thought I'd clarify before I approached another bank again.

I do not have bad credit or anything but I owe a couple thousands on my credit card. I also have another bill which I owe like $2500. The problem is that their interest rates are crazy and high and I have like four or five years trying to pay it off and well I give payments on time and all but the amount doesn't seem to go down at all. I would like to like to get those to bills and make one. Like get a loan and hopefully having one bill instead of two will help pay those debts out. Please if you have any advice on these, share it because these bills are just a pain. Thank you for you help.

I can't afford my house anymore. I moved to another state (my brother is staying at my house for now and he doesnt have money either). My mom sells real estate, and she said i should be able to apply for a hardship letter. I lost my job 11 months ago and am trying to catch up on my bills. I'm also trying to save my credit. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I've got 18 years until retirement and I'm looking at buying a home. I was planning on a 15 year mortgage so I could own the joint when I'm retired. My lender is trying to sell me on 30 yr vs 15 year mortgage. He says with the 30 year, I can invest the monthly difference in payments about $500.00/ month in a tax deferred account and be way ahead in 15 years...I could pay off the mortgage and have big money in my pocket vs. just paying off the mortgage.(with a 15 yr mortgage). What doesn't make sense to me is the fact that today's loan rates don't seem to allow sufficient spread against what I could earn with conservative investing. A 6.2 to 7% mortgage rate seems like the same percent return I might get from a reasonably diversified investment. This seems to me like a wash. What am I not understanding? FWIW I am pretty good at saving. I'm an Automatic Millionare in the making....not boasting but I read that book and found it mirrored the stuff I've already been doing with my finances

I would like to become a professional body piercer and have been seeking education through an apprenticeship. After feverishly searching for opportunities in the area for about six months, I was offered a position as a piercing apprentice. I was not asked to pay money, but was told that I would be expected to do a lot of work at the shop. I have been working for a few days now and am very excited to have this opportunity. So far I have found that doing work without expecting monetary compensation really challenges one's beliefs in how willing they are to succeed. I understand that this is an intregal part of an apprenticeship, since training in a craft is being provided in return. Considering even the tuition costs for a one-year community college certificate it does not seem that unreasonable if compared to being paid minimum wage. Even so, I have been given a hard time by family and friends who feel that I am simply being "used" and that I am unfairly getting nothing in return.
