roginette is right, health care is one of the fastest growing industy's. There are lot's of jobs for people who can type, file, answer a phone, work a computor.. Be a unit secretary, work with patients, families, doctors, nurses directly. Be a secretary in the emergency room, x-ray, lab. Work in medical records, preparing the patient records for storage, or for a patient to have a copy of it. Work as the hospital phone operator, or in an administrator's office, or in Human Resousrces, or as a staffing clerk. Hospitals provide benefits, the salaries are usually competitive, and you will not lack for excitement. Work in a doctor's private office.
My friend has secretarial skills, she works in a sleep study unit. She monitors the study equipment, makes sure the read outs get to the chart properly, she loves it.
Another friend is the receptionist for an outpatient physical therapy unit. she answers the phone, does patient scheduling, lets the therapist know when the patient arrives, gives insurance and history questionares to the patient, and makes sure the questions are all answered. She puts the chart together for a new patient. She has been there over 2 years.
Good luck finding a job.

Draw 3 circles: name them Skill, Passion, Opportunity.

Find out what you like to do in life (your long term happiness)? Passion?
Find out what skill sets are needed to accomplish or get close to your Passion?
Look at the opportunities/possibilities for career available?

Put, these three circles to overlap each other so that you have a common intersecting portion in the middle. The small intersection is your 'long term success'

Believe me no one can tell you what is best for yourself. You can of-course get advise as inputs but the best way is to do some sole-searching, some research and getting mentored. In the end you will find your answer.

Good luck. If you do choose this way, let me know if it really worked out for you. It would be nice to get some feedback.

Any job that you don't dread waking up to get to in the morning, count the minutes 'til it's time to go home, and wish you were any place else but there... Does that exist? Who knows...
