Montclair State University in New Jersey. I work for a small brokerage firm in Manhattan, NYC. I do some trading and operational things. I dont have that many of my own accounts I handle firm accounts mostly.I have the series 7, 63, 55, 4, and 24 licenses. I am 32 years old and have spent ten years in financial services and will probably be making a little over 100k this year. Is this a good salary for someone with my credentials that works in Manhattan or should i be making more somewhere else?

Several of us at work at being told that we are going to get fired if we do not meet our productivity (time spent with clients and money earned for our agency). We are already getting written up for not meeting productivity standards, as it was raised this month. We are also not being told that we are improving or doing a good job if we have shown improvement, we are simply being told that we are not doing good enough. HELP!!!

My employer will build a house and allow my family to live in it rent free. We will sell our house. We will make quite a bit when we sell our house. Since we won't be reinvesting in a house, I am wondering how to avoid taxation.

Do mineral rights cover resources on suface of the land (timber, crops) or only below the suface?

I know mineral rights can be separated from the land, but can rights to minerals be separated? For example, can one person own rights to rock that can be quarried & someone else own rights to pertroleum?

Is doing a PhD the right idea?!?
I am starting my PhD in physiology (molecular biology) at a highly ranked university. Students in my lab start telling me that doing a PhD is not a good idea because you don't get a job with high degrees other than being a professor at a university. And they are actually ending their PhDs...

Is it true that pharmaceutical companies don't hire PhD holders? That they go for Technicians and PostDocs and award winning researchers/students?? Will I be over-qualified once I start looking for most available jobs?
What salary can I expect with being a PhD (starting salary and highest one?) in Canada or the USA. How about in Poland?
I'm 27 and my PhD is supposed to last 6 years. I'm just wondering if someone can give me advice on continuing my studies. Is it worth it if I want to work as a researcher and have a decent salary compared to bachelors or technicians??
Thanks!

I keep on resigning my good paying jobs. My last recent ones were a couple days ago . . . I worked as an officer assistant with this ugly mid-aged monster. I have to say that no all people are meant to be teachers.-Not all people can teach.

I was this lady’s assistant, during my 1st day, they brought me to my desk where I was seated right next to her in this miserable room. (Two of us only) I said to myself, “Gosh, I am someone’s else bit(h”.

Part of me, did not feel comfortable because of the following reason:
1. I have a management degree. I should have people reporting to me not the other way around.
2. She is ugly as I said before.
3. Most people I worked with, they might be having a “wiggie” in their as_S.
4. They are not funny people.
5. They do not know how to teach.

Anyway, this lady was not mean to me in anyway. I feel that she piled up my work too fast, and make it worse, she does not provide good instructions on how to do things.
It is like going to school . . . What is the point if the teacher does not teach well, how do you expect students to learn?

Most of the time, while working with her, I tried to figure out on how to do the works she assigned to me. Part of me made me angry. I managed to live two working days with her.

I do not know either the problem is me or the jobs that I held. As of right now. I am trying to get a job as a Correctional Officer or Truck driving. I guess I am not an office person.

Do you have any feedbacks on this?
