the savings bond was won in a baby photo contest 26 tears ago and it is in a lock box and the key is lost..have to pay $100...to open the box..wondering what the savings bond is valued at before i pay the $100.00

with out the savings bond number and series It will be hard to find out what the value is. At least you should get 50 bucks from the whole deal. Or better yet sell the box on e-bay.

I don't see that there are any $150 savings bonds ever issued. However if it's a $100 dollar bond issued in 1980 it would be worth $288 today. A $50 bond issued in 1980 would be worth $144 dollars today.

Take it to a local bank. They can give you the exact amount. It may be worth around $375.00 or so.
