I'm considering where I'd like to live. I've been in the DC area for 10 years and have lived some other places in the preceding 27 years. As with any place, each has its good and bad points.

I'm trying to find a few places where I might want to move for most (if not all) of the rest of my career. If you love where you live or where you have lived, I'd love to hear about the place and what makes it special.

Thanks!

Inspection issues: poor ventillation throughout house and attic, roof near end of life, no drainage outside of house, possible moisture issue with window, need heating and AC replaced and possible foundation problem. Owner has overpriced the house but does want to sell it (to get rid of it no doubt).

I work for an aggressive collection agency. I mention this because the aggression is not only evident in their work but also in their dealings with employees. I have available vacation time and I put in my request a month in advance and my boss said I more than likely wont get it. He says he is short people and cannot have me out for the 6 days I requested. His is short, in my opinion (which I did not express!) due to his poor management skills. He told me to see him every week to see if the situation has changed but as it stands, it probably wont get approved. His reasoning is that he has always given me my vacation time, but this time he cant. What can I do? I have non refundable airline tickets- he suggested I reschedule. My event cannot be rescheduled. I will have worked for this company two years in September. He just came back from a personal 2 week trip to Asia. I find it unfair. Please help.

I'm thinkin about getting a credit card but i know there are interest rates and such. how do you know if there are fees that they will charge you? Do they charge interest if you pay the bill off every month? Does it hurt your credit to apply for a credit card if you get denied? Where's the best place to get a credit card?

I want to start a daycare, but I don't know how to go about it without getting my license. I need to know what you can do and how many kids you can have without a license? Also if you know what web sites that I can go to get get information on how to start a daycare with/out a license would help out a lot. That way I can look at the pros and cons of the two.

I live in the city, so I don't know if that will matter on what I have to do get a daycare going.

What kind of loan is most economical for the customer (not the bank)? A Baloon loan or one with a fixed interest rate all the way through? It seems like the balloon loans you would be paying more interest since you have to re-negotiate the loan every so often? Please, I need some experienced people! Thanks!

Is there a golden rule on what the best ratio is between available credit limits and credit used that will improve my credit score.

My credit score is good, since we always pay our bills on time. I decided to eliminate a bunch of dorment store credit cards and their available credit line. Now I am wondering if this will hurt my credit score, since it cut my available credit limit in half.

Any inteligent feedback is welcome.

Would like some advice. A group of us are thinking of investing in real estate together and maybe later branching out into more things. Not sure if the best bet would be to individually invest and keep it separate or if we should form a business to do so. Advice? Thoughts? Any professional advice would be helpful.

I am trying to start a cleaning business, I actually have one client right now, I go out to her place on the weekends, Sat & Sun only
I work anywhere from 5-8 hours each day, I am hoping to find out what is the average pay rate by the hours and by the day(s)
She wants me to give her a price by this Satruday and I want to be fair to her but not cheat myself as well.
If there are any sites where I can go to look this up that will be a help to me also,

Hello, I have just separated from the Military and I have been going to one Martial school, around my duty station. I am going to move back home and I want to break my a year long contract. When I signed up for that school on of the instructors there suggested me to sign up for a year and just to break the contract when I will get my orders to separate from the military. However he was not the owner of the school. I still have 5 month left on that contract and it’s about 150 dollars a month so it is relatively expensive.
Dose any body know what the law says about my right to cancel such contract in case the owner of the school will not be the good guy and will just let me go.
Thank you.
