I'm considering where I'd like to live. I've been in the DC area for 10 years and have lived some other places in the preceding 27 years. As with any place, each has its good and bad points.

I'm trying to find a few places where I might want to move for most (if not all) of the rest of my career. If you love where you live or where you have lived, I'd love to hear about the place and what makes it special.

Thanks!

I've lived in 2 places in my 28 years. I've lived in a big city, Toronto ON and a small town, Williams Lake BC. I personally prefer the small town just because it's quiet, calm and everyone is friendly. When I lived in Toronto it seemed like everyone was in a hurry to get no where.

I guess I'm just a small town girl.

Being the true New Yorker I am, I will always love New York City. Sure it may not be the home of the nicest people, and tourists are pretty much hated here, I still love the big city and everything about it. I've lived in just about every borough, but my favorite is the Bronx because it's the most family-like place. It's the only borough in my opinion that perfectly balances between the city-like life and the quietness of being close to suburbs. The Bronx also has its weak areas but it can be pretty nice as well. ;]

I have a website you might like to check out. It's a great way to look into a variety of places in the U.S. that will show up on a list after you complete a questionnaire detailing the things that YOU think are important, or not, ranging from weather to the availability of churches, to concerns about crime rates, to just about any other variable you may find important!
