I was in the same place once when I was younger and I did the one thing that I should have not done and that was let him get to me to a point where I could not work there anymore,
I will tell you like this, "Never take it personal, make sure you keep it business
It's a job and if you like what you are doing just keep it in your mind that you are there to do a job not to like or dislike anyone there, look at it this way at the end of the day you will not have to be bothered with none of the people there once you leave for the day.

You have three choices. Stay and endure it. Leave and find something else. Put in a complaint about your boss (if you have evidence that the boss is lying to you)

Your company should have a policy file somewhere - and that should spell out for you what to do if you have a complaint - normally take it to your bosses boss (if they are not the overall person in the company)- it should be under greivance or complaints policy.

All the best.

well you have to think this if you like your job but do not like your boss you can do several things you can 1. find another job that is similar to the job that you are working now. 2. suck it up and deal with it as much as you can. 3. talk to someone higher up on the corporate ladder and see what they can do about the boss but other wise i think that you should avoid the boss as much as possible. GOOD LUCK !!

Depends upon what the boss is lying about. That he saw Elvis in the drug store, that he is going to run for president, or that he will give serious consideration to advancing your career. Figure it out and then ask again.

If the boss doesn't interfere with your day-to-day's, stick it out as long as you can. If you have an HR director, report the behavior to him/her. If he/she is adversly affecting your performance, though, start looking, and upon exit, be sure ot ask for an exit interview with your HR director and cite the lying as having affected your performance and a reason for leaving.

Well, if the good things about the job outweigh the bad, then try and deal with it. If its affecting your values though, you might want to consider looking elsewhere. You do not want to compromise your own moral standards, ya know?
