I currently work part time in healthcare, but would like to stay home with my 2 children and still contribute to the family income. I've heard the success stories with Silpada, but was wondering if anyone has tried it and had a negative experience? Also, any suggestions on how to jump start the business?

Since I go back to school, I don't take any loans except for student loan which doesn't require credit report. I read a recently article on WSJ on last Saturday about ID theft. It said you can pay a fee (about $10) to get a freeze shut down access to your credit report, meaning no new credit lines can be opened unless you OK it by requesting again. But it doesn't provide any website or phone number to make that happens . Any thought??

My plant is shutting down and some of it is moving to another plant. I was first told. I would be given a 60 day notice when they no longer needed me. They then offered me a lower paying job and was told if I didn't take it. I volunteered for lay off and I would be terminated at their earliest convience. I was able to get a date from them which was one week. For some reason, this sounds illigal. What are your thoughts on this?

I have $40,000 in a a 401 k which is not getting any more contributions. I get a Social Security pension, a small Federal pension, which my health and life insurance come out of, and a very small Union pension, less than a 100$. If I stop paying my Credit Cards can they take any of my pensions? Had some problems, getting harder to pay even the minimum. I've heard YES and NO. I know it will kill my credit but what to do?
