Yes... unfortunately your livelihood is tied to the success of your company, even if they frequently hire stupid people, its still in your best interest to help the dullards so the company will thrive.

I have some exciting news: You are a leader! Now, being the alpha dog carries some responsibility. Don't claw your way to the top, stomping on your co-workers heads. Then you are standing on shakey ground. Rather, take the time to help your fellow man, and they will collectively elevate you to a status that is permanent and secure.

Yes. In a previous job, I worked with "stupid" people. Rather, they were ignorant, careless and foolish. If I didn't help them, I would have been written up. However, after "fixing up" their mistakes for years, I stopped. Their "mistakes" caught up with them.
BTW- I complained several times to the director. He didn't like conflict and ignored the complaints. That's why I am in a different job and much happier.

well, that actually depends on how patient you are with them. but idealy, you can only teach them once or twice. after that, they needn't ask you again about the same problem or instructions. if not, and your patience ran out, ask them to donate themselves as a lab rat. they can help in the medical world, big time!

The key to helping people is to help them learn how to solve issues themselves. Help them learn and you will be accomplishing something more than giving them answers.
