Makeup - September 2006

it's clear lipgloss. it's my first-ever lipgloss, and i love how it makes my lips look shinier, fuller, and... beautiful. my school doesnt have any rules about makeup or anything, and i asked and they said it was okay if it wasnt REALLY red or anything, but i wondered... is it ok? i mean, do people do that? touch up their lipgloss in the bathroom secretly?

My lashes are thin and short, and for years I've used mascara and not been thrilled with the results. So my adventures with false eyelashes are limited, but so far I hate them too! It seems, judging from how pretty they look in the box, that I could be pleased with the results if I had some pointers. First, should they be applied before or after shadow and liner? And where should they be placed? I find that putting them too far away from the lashline interferes with the eye makeup (not to mention makes them look obviously fake), and putting them to close to the lashline causes clumps of real lashes to fall off with the fake ones (not good!)! Is there a magical place to put them that should work? Does anyone have a favorite brand? Should a special remover for the glue be used? None is ever included! Or is it really better to just shell out the extra few bucks for super-duper humongous mascara? Any ideas?

Anyone have a problem with powered eyeshadow and having to reapply it a lot, i find it fades easily...i use covergirl and i have to touch up a lot, unless i use a creme or whatever type other then powered...any tips will help...

has anybody tried either loreal or neutrogena mineral makeup?? which is better for acne/blackhead oily skin?? any advise???
I guess i talking about mineral makeup in general will it help with acne? Is the loreal a good choice?

i recently saw the tyra banks show and it was about make-up. I so need to throw my make-up, but I dont know which one suits me? My face is oily and allegric to some products; but from the name brands which one is the best? Ive tried M-A-C and Switchbox and Lorac. every morning before school i usuallt just put on powder to cover my uneven skintone and some redness and to absorb the oil off my face. By lunchtime my face is all oily, and it looks like i never put any powder on at all. i hate having to reapply because i don't carry a purse and i don't intend on bringing my makeup to school.
how can i make it so my skin isn't oily or anything?

I don't have really bad acne but i get breakouts every now and then. i just started using it and i find its actually giving me more pimples! At first it made my skin really greasy (i don't wear any makeup) and now its really dry and i'm not breaking out but i am still getting pimples. has this happened to anyone else? or anyone who has used it, how has it worked for you??
