It's by the same company, lancome is a cheaper version of loreal.

It's owned by the same company and manufactured in the same factory. From what I observed, the quality in skin care is similar and if you notice they have some very similar products as well. Still, I would prefer Lancome's makeup to Loreal's makeup because I found the former ones qualities are better.
