I am growing my hair out and all the time when i see my parents its like they are trying to make me get a haircut. What should i do or tell my parents that im not going to cut my hair unless it needs to be trimmed? They always ask me when im going to get a haircut.

I've dyed my hair nearly every color under the rainbow and 3 weeks ago I went black and intended to maintain it until I get enough healthy growth (needless to say, my hair is fried :P). But my natural black is already fading to drk brown! I've been using treseme shamp/cond for damaged hair and I'm still getting dark blue water in the bottom of my shower. I recently started using Rusk for damaged and color treated hair and hardly any washes out...but Rusk is so freakin exspensive!! Has anyone tried the pantene midnight expressions and does it work? I need something that wont dry out my damaged hair, but wont wash the color out.

Hey. I'm 13 and Asian. I'm getting a haircut soon. My hair is 1-2 inches below my shoulder.
All of my friends tell me I should get cute side bangs and layers. But I'm not sure if my hairstylist will do a good job with the layers (I already have thick hair, so I don't want the layers to make my hair look like a "poof ball.")
So if I have a picture to show her of how I want my hair to be cut exactly, theres a greater chance that I'll get my hair looking great. Any sugguestions????? (I don't want the side bangs to get in my eyes though--that may be a problem.)
I'm also thinking about curling it so I'll get some nice waves.

What do you think???

I'm getting married aboard and I'm going to do my own hair. I have medium length medium blonde hair which is naturally wavy and thick. I plan to either wear it completely down or half up half down.

I was wondering if a tiara would suit me if I wore my hair down or do you think a clip on flower would be better?

Any other ideas will be most appreciated.

My hair is naturally curly - was thinking if I had it permed before the baby was born it would be much easier to mantain, seeing I wont have the time to mess around with it!! Is there any reasons it is not recommended when pregnant?? Surely it is the same as dyeing your hair - which is ok - chemicals dont enter your blood stream therefore it cant enter the baby's!!

like hair on the pillow, hair on the comb, hair on the floor etc, is it just because the roots are loosening, what you guys think?

I have fine hairs around my hairline but one part has always been slightly thinner than the rest. The effect is that it looks like I'm missing hair. Should I shave off all of my fine hairs to even it out or will this make my forehead look huge? I know that not everyone has fine hair around their forehead and they look fine without it. Has anyone ever done this and what was the outcome?

How did women in colonial and pre-colonial times wear their hair to bed to take care of it? I've seen movies depict them braiding it and also brushing it out before bedtime. Which is more accurate?

And something sorta like this: http://cdn-channels.netscape.com/gallery/i/j/jones2/lg1a.jpg
or this-http://celebrity.hairresources.net/LongHairLongBangs3.jpg
Or should I just leave my hair the way it is?
Which bangs would look better on me?

I saw one in the park today. At first I was scared to look at the person, because I don't want anyone to think I am staring at him.

But I thought it would be funny if more people had the hairstyle & look, attitude, etc... in the US. So then when others from other countries visit US, they would think there was something special about the US.

What do you think?

I have been thinking about getting a perm, but im not sure. I got a perm a couple years ago, but it wasn't done by a professional so of course it didn't turn out as good as it could have. My hair is a lot longer now... it's also very straight and i just want more volume so i was thinking a perm could be cute. Does anyone know anything about perms... have u had one? did you like it? and did it damage your hair a lot?.. what kind of perm looks best? .. and any other information would be greatly appreciated.. im just trying to get all the info. before i get a perm bc i worked hard on growing my hair out and i really dont want to ruin it!.. thanks =)

I paid $100 to get my hair flat ironed & trimmed. I think that was too expensive. How much do you think I should've been charged? I'm new to Denton, TX & don't know of any other stylists, & this was very close to school. Also, I still have split ends after the trim.

School starts at 7:15. it takes me 5-10 minutes to get to school. in the morning,i want to wash my hair, and straighten it. (straightening time takes me 30 minutes tops). but when i wash my hair,i want it to air dry and not be blown dry. so if i let it air dry,it will take a long time. so what time should i get up in the morning 4 school? School starts at 7:15. it takes me 5-10 minutes to get to school.

and to get dressed and, eat, and make up will take 15 minutes.
