I paid $100 to get my hair flat ironed & trimmed. I think that was too expensive. How much do you think I should've been charged? I'm new to Denton, TX & don't know of any other stylists, & this was very close to school. Also, I still have split ends after the trim.

you def did. a trim is like what MAX 20? heck thats even too much. you could have bought yourself a flat iron, and a very good one in fact for that money.

Yep. Even here in LA, you can find a good stylist to do that for about $45. If you go to one of the upscale "celebrity" salons you can expect to pay a lot more, but definitely not anything over $100.

Split ends? Sounds like a rip-off to me... $100 would be for an good, if not excellent cut, etc. Don't go back.

Better luck next time!

I think you paid too much, especially if you're on a limited budget. You should ask other people for their suggestions and recommendations, and don't go with what the first person says. Ask several people, and go with the majority opinion.
