I've dyed my hair nearly every color under the rainbow and 3 weeks ago I went black and intended to maintain it until I get enough healthy growth (needless to say, my hair is fried :P). But my natural black is already fading to drk brown! I've been using treseme shamp/cond for damaged hair and I'm still getting dark blue water in the bottom of my shower. I recently started using Rusk for damaged and color treated hair and hardly any washes out...but Rusk is so freakin exspensive!! Has anyone tried the pantene midnight expressions and does it work? I need something that wont dry out my damaged hair, but wont wash the color out.

If you have colored, bleached your hair alot in the past 3 weeks, ur hair is not going to hold the color very well. So you will need to color ur hair again with the same color make sure that the color is perminent as it will last longer. But becasue you have colored and bleached it so much you hair will have trouble holding the color. You also need to get s/c for color treated hair and or dry damaged hair. Don't use pantine!

It sounds like you have semi-permenent color which means it definitely will fade more and more. Aveda sells a special line of conditioners for colored hair. It has pigment so it will continually wash the black back into your hair. Yes this is pricey too. Just go for the conditioner the shampoo is terrible. Before using the Aveda go for a shampoo and conditioner with moisturizer. Because no shampoo will keep the color in your hair. Pantene is good and not that expensive. I've been through this myself, the difference is my stylist warned me about it.

The pantene should work. But if you just get a good conditioner and leave it on for about 5-6 minutes every time you condition, then it might help
