ok so i have naturally wavy hair. and absolutely hate it. i starighted it for a few years and loved how it looked. but of course it got all damged and stopped growing. ive been trying to grow out my hair. it used to grow so fast then just stopped growing all together. i went to the hair salon 2 days ago and told them what ive been doing. the stylist who worked on me said my hair looked fine but the ends were fried. so i got a good trim. about an inch off. so my question is now that i got the damged part cut off should my hair start growing again? i stopped using my straightener and just been putting it in a pony tail.

What is the latest hair trend for 2007? As far as hair cut and dye. or even just the trend for hair color? I'm a brunette, and now that it's getting hot it's time for that change again.

I'm a single, 37-year old. 6'2", athletic and ok looking. I have dark brown hair and green eyes. I started out with a little grey on the sides, but in the last year, it is really grey on the sides and starting to fill in on the top just a little with grey. I'm athletic and very youthful. I date women of all ages and I run with both older friends and a younger crowd. I also generally look young. I feel like I'm at a crossroad with the hair. I either need to go with it, or start coloring it. If I color it, I'll do it well. But I also feel like it is so fake. I'm a guy's guy - no metro in me at all. But I'm always willing to take some steps in that direction if it helps my looks. I try to dress well and take care of myself. I really don't want people thinking I'm "old" when I'm so youthful.

I've also heard that some women, even young women, love the grey + green eyes look and that it could work for me. Anyway, I feel like I need to decide soon or I'll be past the poin

I am a light brunette with the ends that are orange, (from trying to dye it blonde). I want to dye my whole hair a dark almond brown. I want to get it done professionally so that its done right. My mom says it will just wash right out but if I get highlights it will stay in. I don't want highlights! Help!

I was in the bathroom. I guess the had just finished cleaning the toilets. I was on the phone and stood up. The phone dropped into the water and the water splashed my hair. I had recently dyed my hair platinum. Now it has been dyed blue! 1. Watch should I do today? I work in a conservative office. 2. How can I fix it? My hair is already fried from the first dye job.

I have goldish red hair that comes down to about an inch past my shoulder blades. My face is kinda oval, for the most part. I'm looking for a hairstyle that doesnt take too long, and won't require things like curling irons, or anything that might damage my hair. I'm going for prettty, not cute. Maybe something a little curly. I'm open to any ideas, though. Thanks! (BTW, I don't want to do anything drastic like dying/cutting my hair either ;) )

Hi i'm currently using shikakai powder and the one i'm using seems to really natural because it has beads not totally powdered, but i don't think that it cleans my scalp well. Also before i wash my hair i oil it the night before and then put egg in my hair and then wash my hair. I notice that the oil stays in sometimes. Also i think i might have dandruff does shikakai help in hair fall and dandruff? Or is it better to use Nyle shampoo (the tulsi one) my friend told me that's a real good herbal shampoo. Someone please help!!!!

Scene hair?? helpp?
so I'm getting my hair cut soon, and i want a bit of a change. So I'd really like my hair to look kinda scene-ish. I have dark brown hair, i may dye it, but I will most likely just get blonde highlights. how do you think I should ask for myy hair to be cut when I go to the hair salon, or even better, do you have any photos which i could possibly take to show what I mean?
i also have side bangs already, and my hair is about 2-3 inches past my shoulder, but i dont want to cut it shorter than to my shoulders.

if you dont know what scene means

do to urbandictionary.com
and type in scene

It was always thinner on one side, but here in the last year- since I moved to MO, it stops once it reaches a certian length, and refuses to grow any more. I take better care of my hair now, compared to when I lived in TX, but nothing seems to help. What are some factors I'm not considering that could be to blame? Any ideas? Please share! Thank you!

I have a 4 yr. old daughter who is 3/4 Native American and 1/4 Black and her hair is very coarse. She has very long hair and some of it wants to curl. It's not so much thick yet, but it looks dry and wants to frizz. What will help keep moisture in? I thought about using African American products made for children, but I'm not too sure. I don't won't to put any oil in her hair that will make her hair look like it hasn't been washed. Also, I didn't want to use any products that will damage her hair. Plus, what will help her baby hairs grow? Her hair doesn't seem to be growing much in the bang area/many fly aways. I thought about giving her bangs, but she doesn't have enough to make bangs, plus isn't long enough. Any suggestions?

About 2 weeks ago I got a perm, it was absolutly horrible. My hair was way too curly, and a couple hours after I got home it started to go straight and get really frizzy. I called the salon and they had me come in for a conditioner treatment and that didn't really work, I called yesterday and she wants me to come in again but to straighten it, what is involved with a chemial straightening? Is it going to break my hair off even more? Please hurry and answer my appt. is a 12:30. Thanks.

I have dark brown hair by the way. It is colored too, so I know I'll have to use a color remover before bleaching. Is it safe to use bleach after using a color remover? Or do I need to wait a week or so for my hair to get back into shape? Thanks!

I just pulled out a strand of my hair and felt it.

It felt uneven, thick in part and thin later on.... does that mean my hair is damaged?

i wasnt born with wavy hair and my hair started to become wavy when i turned 13 because of hormones, my friend told me that. i may look a little weird because chinese dont naturally have wavy hair, but i like wavy hair very much, the natural curls are just better than fake ones. so my question is, will my hair uncurl itself when i finally stop growing? will the hormones stop making my hair wavy? will i lose my precious curls?

I found myself buying a strange looking hair trimmer the other day. I'm trying to grow my hair so rather cut off a minimal amount with this new product than the hairdresser cut off too much. The thing is that i'm a chicken - has anyone tried it and if so does it work well?
