Hair - March 2007

I went and had my hair done and teh stylist did it perfect for my senior pictures. But the problem was after I had my hair and nails done the photograhpher never showed up! So I found someone else to do my pictures Thursday but the stylist who did my hair so perfect only works Wed. and Saturdays. I cant rescedule my picture appointment so what do I do with my hair??? Its layerd and a little longer than my shoulders. Thick and I straighen it. Help?

i am a teenager a i have seen my mum for years get her hair permed off of my gran and i want a tight curly foam perm. i have asked my gf is she would do it and she says she would and she also says that i will suit it.i have the foam perm here the now, should i go through with it?

I'm 15, and I'm starting to get dark hair on my chest, belly, and back. Before there was hair, but it was light. It's getting darker. I want to get the hair off, but I can't exactly set up an appointment at a salon and get it waxed off... that's just out of the question here (because of my home situation and stuff). I am African American with Thick short hair. I don't like to use curlers in my hair everyday...So I'm trying to use rollers and just sleep in them at night. WHen I take them out I have tight curls and with I try to style it it just goes into a frizz. How can I roll my hair with lose curls and no frizz??

No, I'm not trying to be funny or insulting.

Not too long ago, I addressed this woman in a store whom I initially thought was a man. Very short hair, no makeup, jeans, t-shirt, nothing to suggest femininity whatsoever. I referred to her as "sir" and she about went ballistic. "I am NOT a 'sir', I'm a 'ma'am!!! How dare you? Blah blah blah..." All I could do was apologize over and over again. So embarrassing....

Anyway, has this ever happened to you or know someone it has happened to? How did you deal with it or she deal with it? And how did the other person who addressed you as "sir" react when he/she was corrected?
