can you say nappy? or smelly, or just plain GROSS

For a while it would look limp and dirty. The time would depend on how often the owner of the hair used to wash it before.
After some (relative) time, it would start cleaning itself, and become shinier than ever before.
Thing is, I can't work out what gets rid of all the smells the hair has inhaled throughout this process ...

I had a friend in high school that didn't wash his hair for like 5 or 6 months maybe even longer he wanted natural dreads. Your hair would stink get really oily and you could get bugs is my guess

First your hair and roots will dry out then it will turn greasy and oily then will eventually turn in dreadlocks and all tangled up in knots.

It'd be dirty.

Depending on hair type, it might turn into dreadlocks, or simply be scraggly and greasy.
