First, get the split ends cut. Hair will split all the way up to the shaft if it is in real bad condition. Then use a really good hair treatment and leave it on a few minutes longer than what the directions state. If your hair is extremely dry, you may want to do this a couple of times a week for two or three weeks. Always use a good conditioner when you shampoo, and once a week use a clarifying shampoo to strip out the excess oil and dirt that build up naturally. After two or three weeks, you should see a nice difference in the appearance and feel of your hair. Annie

Dove, Garnier Fructis, and Pantene Pro-V Restoratives. Also you can do something healthy with no products that can ruin your hair or dry it our more like Avocado Deep Conditioner all you need is a a small jar of mayonnaise and a 1/2 avocado
Directions:
Peel avocado and remove pit. Mix all ingredients in a medium-sized bowl with your hands until it's a consistent green color. Smooth into hair being careful to work it to the ends. Use shower cap or plastic wrap to seal body heat in. Leave on hair for 20 minutes. For deeper conditioning wrap a hot, damp towel around your head over the plastic, or use a hair dryer set to a low to medium heat setting
You might also want to cut off your split/dry ends. And buy Frizz ease products they really work!!! Don't use so much heat in your hair if you have to use heat protectant Tresseme is a good one. Also you can put mayonaisse in your hair for 20 min. before taking a shower that will leave your hair shiny.

Might sound wierd but both of these work a treat....
Olive oil!.... In a cup/glass half fill it with olive oil then add a splash of hot water, massage it in to dry or slightly damp hair the wrap in clingfilm so none of your hair is free to the air. leave it for around 20mins, or for a deeply mousturising effect pop in to the shower whilst you wait, the heat will furher activate the oil. THIS NEED ALOT OF WASHING OUT OR YOUR HAIR WILL LOOK GREASY, NOT GOOD. I would advise first washing it with a cleansing shampoo untill it feels like it has all gone, then wash and condition like normal with a mousturisg conditioner, agian wash thouroughly. If when your hair dries it still looks greasy i advise washing it again, sorry, it will be worth it though.
Okaaay this next one can be a biiit messy.
Mayonaise and Avacado.... Use half a small tub of warm temperature mayyonaise NOT SALAD CREAM AS THIS WILL DRY YOUR HAIR OUT!!! and mush some ripe avacado into it, keep mushing untill they are completely mushed together! then generously apply to your locks, again wrap with clingfilm, the wrap with a warm and damp towl and wait for around 20mins. Wash thoughroughly comb any residude out, then shampoo a few times to wash the smell out! condition and hey presto!
Hope these help you, i dont advise you try them for the first time just before you go out!!!

Paul Mitchells Smoothing serum and Finishing Spray.
They cost a little more than generic products but they work and last about 6 months, a little goes a long way.
The smoothing serum you put on when your hair is damp, then blow dry, and put a small dab on your hair before flat ironing/curling....
Then once finished use the Finishing spray (which is a light oil spray) and it makes your hair shiney.
