I have dark brown hair by the way. It is colored too, so I know I'll have to use a color remover before bleaching. Is it safe to use bleach after using a color remover? Or do I need to wait a week or so for my hair to get back into shape? Thanks!

Go to Sally's & Get L'Oreal Color Zap. This stuff will not only remove the dark brown color, but, should also bring you to a light blond color ( so you shouldn't need to bleach it afterwards). Depending on the length, thinkness & how many times you colored it the dark color, you may need to do it twice. So, I'd suggest you get 2 boxes ( the are only $10 each). This stuff will safely remove all the color in your hair & w/o bleach (so your hair will not be ruined). After you remove all the color, blow dry your hair so that it's completely dry & then you can re-color it immediately (so you don't need to walk around for a few days with an awkward color hair)

I have used this stuff numerous times & it really does work.

Please don't try to do this yourself. I'm am a stylist and I'm telling you this is not an easy thing to do and you could end up really damaging your hair.

You have two factors to consider with your hair. First it's colored. Second your hair is naturally dark. Hair color is measured in levels and tones. Level one is considered black and ten the lightest bonde. Depending on where you hair falls in this range also has to be taken into consideration.

Using a color remover and bleach will potentially dry your hair out and cause a great deal of damage.

You also have to take into account what color blonde you want, color and toners will also be needed.

This could be a detailed project. You need everything at your fingertips to be able to bleach and correct.

There is a reason we go to school for 2yrs and apprentice for another yr or two.
