Wash your hair with a protein enriched shampoo. Then instead of using a conditioner, use a leave in protein spray.
Apply hair mousse and blast your hair dry.
Then use some more leave in spray conditioner to dampen your hair down.
Blowdry or roller set your hair into the style you like, then use some gentle teasing/backcombing at the roots.
Finish off with hairspray.
Hope that helps,
Chris.

Dragging your feet while walking across carpeting works pretty well.
Listening to country music also has the effect of adding volume to your hair.
But if you want your hair to get really big you have to actually make a trip to Nashville Tennessee.
It's a joke people!

Step one: Find someone who lived (and is still living) in the Disco Era of 1950-1970
Step two: Ask them this: "Hey buddy! How do I make an Afro without using a wig?"
If they answer that question, apply same procedure to your hair!!!

Volumizing mousse or gel and blow dry your hair upside down. The right cut can do wonders too. Talk to your stylist.

once you get out of the bath or shower you just need to tease your hair while it is wet. keep doing that off and on until it is dry. it truly works. at least on my hair it does

Tease, tease, tease. Spray. Tease, Tease. Spray. Also, don't wash your hair daily-- the longer I reject washing my hair the poofier it becomes. It's hott. Trust me.

Try backcombing,or teasing. Tease the hair and smooth it on top, it works.
