I just pulled out a strand of my hair and felt it.

It felt uneven, thick in part and thin later on.... does that mean my hair is damaged?

Thanks so far for your responses.

My hair is natural, not chemical, no straining, I dont dye it or apply direct heat to it.

I will eat loads more protein than I already do! :)

Hair health depends on your general health for sure. Try to eat a lot more protein as that helps to grow hair...As for health try not to dye it or strain it too much under heat as most of us women tend to do. I dont think that one strand can determine whether your hair is healthy or not, not every hair can be perfect!

It could be damage, but likely nothing too bad, damage most occurs on the ends of your hairs.
