I've always been naturally blonde, but in my early twenties my hair started to darken naturally to a darker, mousy, dirty dishwater blonde. Not pretty. So I've been colouring back to my natural light golden blonde for several years. The last time I visited my hairdresser, she used bleach for the first time and it ruined my hair and it looks 20 times worse than when I was colouring it myself from a box. I think blonde definitely suits my complexion and my brows are golden blonde, but I am afraid that continuing with the blonde is just too damaging- my hair is literally like straw and the irony is, the only way I can make it look good and smooth is by blow-drying and using a fat-iron, ultimately causing more damage!
I have a medium to pale peachy/pink complexion and greenish blue eyes. Can I, and should I, go brunette, and if so, how dark and what shade? (If it helps, cooler shades of blonde always got me more compliments).
