I'm new to the area and don't know who is good around here for hair. I'm really picky and I want someone who is young and really good at cutting hair (knowing all the popular styles out right now would be a definite plus). I have had a lot of disasters with hair stylists and I want one who is talented. Ex...the kind of stylist that can give me "celebrity hair" Please let me know if you have someone in mind. I'm looking for a person that can take care of my hair not just cut it.

i was born with straight hair but it gets wavy when its wet and im new at using straighting irons, so i was wondering if its better using on wet hair or dry hair and does it damage your hair? how long should i keep it on for? thank you to everyone that helps :)

My hair used to be silky and fine but now it's wirey and completely unmanageable! I haven't colored it in a long time and I rarely use product on my hair so I know it's not over-processed. During my pregnancy and while breastfeeding I lost a lot of hair and now that it has grown back each strand is thick and wirey. If I run my fingers along one single strand it's not smooth at all. I get my hair trimed hoping that getting rid of any split ends will help but the softness lasts only until I wash my hair again. I'm taking vitamins but that doesn't seem to be helping either.
Is there anything I can do to get my hair healthy and manageable again?

Hi, i'm 16 years of age and i seem to already started a habbit of tying knots and pulling my hair as you can also refer to it as trichotillomania. Does it develop any long term side effects for hair loss in the future? I am really trying hard to stop but it's hard to when i'm thinking, or stressed out.

I color my hair red if that is a factor and its very naturally curly I straighten it multipul times a week with a flat iron as well. I really need to get this done asap but dont want just anyone to do it!

Recently i got a sew in and it tangled like crazy. I used human hair called Pink Diamond. I just bought some Remi Goddess but then someone told me that Urban beauty - tangle free hair -works best. i just got a haircut yesterday and it's really cute. it's a chin-length bob with bangs... but today after i washed my hair my bangs are nearly plastered to my forehead and falling into my eyes. i don't want to just sweep them to the side to form side bangs... how do i get them to have more volume and still have the piece-ey look without being gooey? my hair is resistent to nearly every type of product, btw. does anyone have a good method?

My hair is so thick and nappy. I wear it in a bun or ponytail everyday and I flat iron it sometimes but never wear it down. What do I do? Any other styles? People always tell me to wear it down or put it in a differents style but I don't know how to.

I havent dyed my hair in two years. Before that I was dying in every two months. Now its my full natural color. Well theres this wedding coming up and I want to do something with it. Im not sure about dying it because it has gotten a lot thicker and healthier since I stopped dying it. It goes to the bottom of my shoulder blades and I keep up with getting it layered. Ahhh....I dont know what to do! Help!

Oh its a med brown and sort of wavy. I usually wear it straight.

Does anyone have any solutions for frizzy, poofy, curly hair? And I don't want to straighten it. I already use paul mitchell instant moisture conditioner, pantene pro v gel for curly hair, and frizz-ease. I also use the curly girl method if anyone knows what that is (http://www.ylcf.org/gotcurl/). Anyways my hair is still a little frizzy and the curls are not defined. Any recommendations?
