How long do I keep the dye on and how much developer to dye do I use?

Well, unless you are covering grey hair, you should leave it on for 30 minutes. Most color is a one to one ratio. One ounce of color to one ounce of developer. But make sure you read the directions on the bottle/box to see what they suggest. You can also ask the people at the beauty supply store.

well first of all not all products that are sold at sally's is salon hair dye. the dye is usually left on for 30 minutes and you usually mix 1 ounce of color to 2 ounce developer, but you should always read the manufactures directions

i'm not answering your question but their products sucks try revlon colorsilk next time their stuff doesn't fade away and it's under $3
