Hair - January 2007

I have recently noticed that my natural hair color has become dark and dull. I used to have golden brown hair. I also have a few thick white hairs randomly scattered all over my head. So I want to do something about it, hopefully at least make it brighter. I have never colored my hair at home before, so I was wondering whether I should use a demipermanent color like Clairol Natural Instincts, or a glaze like the one from John Freida. I'm not interested in anything permanent, because I don't want to screw up.

i am asian and a high school sophomore. i've been dying my hair brown since 6th grade (so that's about 5 times) until half a year ago.
i dyed it jet black, but now it's wearing off... (and i used Loreal's permanent dye)

should i dye it again? i haven't dyed it in 1/2 year.
i always use loreal or garnier... i kno that all dyes are somewhat harmful... but any ideas?

i am getting married in couple of weeks to i need the best stylist as im really ugly and the only thing which is gonna make me less uglier is a stylish hair cut.So please recommend one in manhattan,and ehem forgot me mention ima ugly poor guy,so please mention how much will it cost as well.

My Hair Is curly. I been thinking its all natural. But It really looks awful on me. My Dad wont let me use an iron straightner, shampoo and conditioner, and Gel/hairspray because It his "HIs" expereince that he used those and he ended up bald.
I tiy to argue him about it and he gets angry. So is there any other technique or homemade way I can straighten my hair?

IT IS seriously in a curly/wavy kinda of type. I tried just pulling it and apply soap and water for a good hour and it still ends up curly/wavy.

i died my hair black and i want it to be brown although ive already tried dieing it back to brown but it only got my roots so it looks like i have black then brown the black hair kinda like stripes so i need help turning it into just one color. do you think if i use bleach on my hair then die it brown it will come out brown? i dont want it to be like uhmmm brownish blondish cause it would look funny on me since im asain:( also i cant get it done at a salon cause its to expensize... please help me!

I have a 13 mo. old and I am terrible at fixing hair. She has quite a bit of hair for her age, I think. But I have never been able to get a bow to stay. And now that her hair is longer I can put it in a ponytail on top of her head. Or pigtails, which is my favorite. I've seen little girls with bows attached to there pigtails. How in the world they do this I don't know. Does anyone know how they get them to stay and look right. Because everytime I try they look so funny. I would like to be able to put a bow in her hair from time to time. Does anyone have a tip on a bow that stays in? And how I could attach them to a ponytail? Any other tips for toddler hair would be awesome. I've never been good with hair, especially my own!

i use depp gel for about 1 month now, and ive been noticing that my hair is getting loose. after i take a shower, and i dry my hair with a towel, about 1 minute of scrubbing, i see 2-9 strands of hair.

1) Is my hair falling out because of the depp gel?

2) i use hot water when i shampoo and that. is that y?

3) how can i make it stop??

btw, i CANNOT stop using gel. my friends will think i look weird without it.
