Rub olive oil throughout it, like a cream rinse, cover with a plastic bonnet or wrap your head in plastic wrap and let hot water pour over your head in the shower. Wash well with a gentle shampoo, and then towel dry. Use one egg white as a leave-in conditioner, and air dry your hair. Avoid blow-drying and other hot appliances. Increase the humidity in your home if you are heating your home. Just put a big pot of water on the stove, bring to a boil and then turn down to a simmer. Don't let the sunshine or wind touch your hair, keep it covered outdoors as much as possible. Wear an old lady's hair bonnet at bedtime. And, try swirling it up in the back and clipping it. That tends to create a silky texture when you let it down.

Ok, before I blow-dry my hair, I use this product from the salon in Wal-Mart. I'm sure it's sold other places, but that's where I find it. It's called Kiwi coloreflector blow serum. It's a white bottle with a kiwi on it and a lime green lid. The 8.4 oz. bottle is $12.00 and you only need about a nickel-sized amount on your wet hair to make it smooth, shiny, and silky.

VCO or Virgin Coconut Oil is the best. I stopped going to salon for hot oil and instead used VCO at home. I just pour the oil 3 hours before I was h my hair. You'll notice your hair shinier, and stronger strands. Its very cheap too. If you cant find the bottled one at supermarkets, buy a coconut, slice and press it. Very easy to do at home.
