Hair - December 2006

My child has naturally curly hair. The back is curly underneath and not so curly on the top layers. Need something that will keep it from looking limp after a few hours. Right now we use Catwalk's shampoo or Biolage. Also, I do sometimes dry it in the morning. I use a diffuser is this okay or will it make her hair brittle and dry after awhile?

I have thick strong hair, and recently had it cut in a pixie hairstyle. Do you know of any good gel to keep it defined?

I have a gel (Manga-head) that is very strong, but it creates flakes, and since my hair is black it shows through. Anything else you suggest?

I've been told I'll have to strip it, and even if it's stripped, it's a very dark brown. I don't want to fry my hair, (it's a huge fear,) but I desperately want to bleach the underside of my hair.

A.) Will it destroy my hair?
B.) Will it work, or will it turn a nasty yellow/brown color?
C.) Any reccomendations for a better product? (I'm using a Splat color kit.)

I got a relaxer that ended up burning the sides of my hair really bad and now there is like no hair there, like its really thin and i can feel my scalp when i touch it. So yeah it got burned pretty badly. Im really upset cause it never happened before and I am not used to not havin that lenght of hair as my hair used to be paast my shoulders,. I had to cut it because of the burn. So i am wondering if anyone has any tips on how to grow it back. Right now I just have it in braids because in the past that is how I grew my hair. But I just need tips from ppl who know about relaxer burns cause I don't know what to do with it after Itake my braids out. HELP

i naturally have brown hair. I colored my hair blonde myself a few months ago. Now my roots are coming in really bad and I want to go back to my natural color. I am afraid that if I color it brown myself it will quickly fade back to the blonde. If I have it done at a salon will it still fade to blonde after a couple months? My goal is to color it to my natural color and then quit coloring it and let it grow out natural with out having horrible roots.

I have really big volumized hair!! very frizzy as well. I have enough hair to cover 6 heads nd still have hair for me. I usualy get my hair straightened nd it comes out beautifuly...but we all know the damage that happens split ends and burned hair..

I have dreadlocks and i really do not like any and anyone twisting and locking my hair. My hairdresser is booked solid these days so i went to another one but she used beeswax and i have never used that before. I decided that i would do my hair myself.
Can anyone give me tips or sites that will teach me how to use the hook in my hair when locking my dreadlocks step by step? Thanks!

I have a short bob and for the last couple of months, I have been trying to grow my fringe out. I am trying to wear it as a side fringe in the meantime - any hints on what to do for the next six months or so until it grows out completely? So that it doesn't drive me mad?
