I thought I'd try getting one but now greatly regret it. Im desperate for straight hair and I have layered which makes straightening an even bigger hassle. To get it presentable looking takes five times over with a straightener,no lie, and even with damage protection products its taking its toll. I cant get chemical straightening because Ive been assured by a hair dresser it will make it fall out. Do I have any options?

I'm an African American woman, I have been growing my hair back since about April/May 2006 from about chin lenght, it is now about shoulder length. I would like to get my hair back to the way it was in middle school and high school before I began cutting it, which was about to the middle of my back. It's growing back, but it seems to be growing slow and it's thinner now, it was thicker then. Not super thick and nappy, I've always had a great grain of hair. Any suggestions? I am 13, I have very thin hair, and it is badly cut, and about an inch below my shoulder. I have an oval shaped face, and light brown (with some dark blond natural streaks) hair. I really(!!!) want a haircut, but i have noo idea what to get, (or what to do with my long bangs). What will look good and trendy??? Please help!!!!!

i use to have long brown and black hair but when i was younger i cut my hair (im 15 now) and now it breaks off alot and its not growing i also dont think its to healthy.so i was wondering if anybody had any ideas on how to get my hair to grow long and healthy?? my whole family has long hair and i dont so any ideas will help

i never go anywhere without wearing black eyeliner ... but i'm not the type that carries a purse around, so i don't bring eyeliner with me anywhere. i already tried maybeline, && it comes off or it smears within an hour. is there any stuff that stays on for the entire day without having to reaply?? i don't care how expensive it is.

When I slowly run my fingers along my scalp, I find a lot of small bumps that are 'stuck' to my scalp. So I carefully 'peel' it out with my nails, and it's a disgusting brown peachy colored hard flake. Now it's not just one here and there, it's all over my head!

Anyone know what exactly it is and how can I eliminate this things?

I wash my hair about 3 -5 times a week, so could it be residue? But then I have been using an anti-residue shampoo so I don't know.

I also have a mild case of dandruff, if that helps.

i am naturally pale, have gray-blue eyes and a very dull brown hair colour. i have spent a couple of years having cherry red, copper and blonde streaks put in my hair which now look terrible as the colours cross over every time the colours are redone, so a couple of months ago i had a darker brown colour wash done to try and get a better base colour. but now the time has come to colour it again, and i want something a bit different.
any ideas?
