Blow dry hair with flip in bottom with a round brush. Then, part off a half-inch section of your hair from ear to ear, behind bangs (keep smooth to comb over the teased part). Then, heavily tease and pack to scalp, the hair behind that section - back to crown. Then, use a comb-out brush (one with soft bristles, natural or synthetic) and flip the smooth section back over teased part and skim brush lightly over all to give that "pompadour" look. You can also tease the flip up from the bottom to lock in fullness. Push hair back over ears a little.

My favorite comb to tease with is a "bone comb" with rat tail. A beauty supply can help you pick the right comb and brush. They are the same that I use for combing out a roller set. Use small partings when teasing so you really can pack it down.

SPRAY heavily with an extra hold aerosol spray - pump spray is too dense and wet for this.

I'd say get a fine toothed hair pick. A can of hairspray. Spray the hair lightly first, then use the pick to tease the hair out and up.. add more hairspray (lightly).. rinse repeat.. tease, spray, tease, spray, until you have the desired poofiness :)

btw, by teasing, I mean, to take a section of the hair in hand, use the pick (a comb would work too) and comb the hair starting at the root, combing TOWARD the head, as opposed to the usual direction- work your way down the section of hair starting at the root, combing toward your head..

your hair might be all crazy teased (kinda mussy) after this process, so you'll want to "comb" it a little to give it shape.

no it dosent look teased. if you want to tease it and make it big and poofy , take little sections a a time (in the back) take a brush because it has more bristles, and while holding your hair strait upright brush down at the roots till you have a knotted mess,if you dont like where you teased it and wish to redo, just take the brush and gently brush it out going along with the grain.dont wet because it will make it hurt more. p.s teasing damages hair hope this helped =) also go on youtube and watch, how to tease hair, or scene hair it shows you step by step on how to get the ultimate poof by teasing =) good luck

Shave your scalp, and marinade it in: 5 tsps vaseline, 1tbsp Hansen's Ginger Ale, 1 tsp flour. (Mix well!!!). Leave this substance on your scalp for 12 hours, then take it off. wash ur scalp. within 1 hour, your hair will grow back same color and length and thickness as it was before but it will go directly into a teased, Peggy Bundy hairstyle. My daughter did this for her school play, i learned this trick from a friend's mom who is a retired beautician. i know it sounds like a load of bologne. and i know i would NEVER do this if someone told me about it. Meaning, I would never believe this if i hadn't seen it work for my daughter but it did. so i understand if u dont believe cause it sounds pretty weird but i can guarentee it works, i even tried it for myself to see if i was seeing things on my daughter;s scalp or if it was real. i confirm, it is real and it works. good luck!

Spray your hair lightly all over (roots too) with hairspray. Tease the hair and then spray again.

Funny thing is why would you want to do that? You have to curl it with a curling iron and use lots of hair spray.
