My boyfriend is taking me out for sweetest day, we have been having issues lately, and it meant alot that he wanted to take me out to dinner, so I really want to look nice for him. I never really do anything with my hair, it is down to my shoulders, lightly layered, and thick. So you have any hairdo ideas? I own things like bobby pins, small and medium alligator clips, etc. I could go but anything I needed. Im not very imaginative, so your help is very much appreciated thanks!!!

Why don't middle and lower class have a problem with african hair styles? Why don't our men enjoy the beauty of african hair? We are born with it why can't we keep it healthy and clean and be accepted? Why can't I find a job with my afro and braids? Why do some Black Educators phohibit african hair styles while training?

I have always had a perm, and I am now growing it out. As of now, I have an inch of my normal hair... but it...looks weird. It doesn't look all that curly OR wavy. How many inches would I have to wait for my hair to curl?

I went to this salon in Tampines to get my fringe rebonded, but the hairdresser did not use a rebonding cream to rebond, it used the 8 dollars wella, red in colour box, to rebond my hair and the hairdresser just snip off my fringe without my consent. I went back in and complained they blamed everything on me.

I straighten my hair every day as it's naturally wavy and looks a mess if I don't. It can be quite dry so I only wash it every other day, I've been having it coloured since I was 17 (am 24 now). Til New Year 2005 it was dyed black (mistake!!!) but I got it corrected by my hairdresser so now it's blonde with brown streaks, but I know having that done has made my hair weaker.

What would be the best shampoo and conditioner to get to keep my hair soft and shiny rather than dry, as I want to continue straightening it and getting it coloured now I'm happy with the colour! I'm ok spending a bit. At the moment I'm using Aussie moisturising shampoo and conditioner and leave Wella System Professional Hydro Mask on once a week. Just after more suggestions for stuff I can use that's seriously moisturising and good for my hair...ta
