I went to this salon in Tampines to get my fringe rebonded, but the hairdresser did not use a rebonding cream to rebond, it used the 8 dollars wella, red in colour box, to rebond my hair and the hairdresser just snip off my fringe without my consent. I went back in and complained they blamed everything on me.

Your not giving the full story.. Why did they blame you? Anyway You should let them know that you wont be coming back & you know a few people who use their salon & you are going to tell them not to come either.

Theres also a code of conduct which businesses need to adhere to so you could take it further but im not sure with who.

Tough luck to you! It seemed to me that you went to a small unknown salon to do your hair.If so,there is nothing much you can do.You said you went back in and they blamed you instead? Why should they do that?

If you are game for it,complain to CASE.You stated that they did not use the proper rebonding lotion/cream for you.Instead, they used a cheap alternative. You may be able to charge them for cheating/dishonesty.But then again, how much did you pay for the service?Did you pay an expensive price/market rate for a rebonding job?If so,you may have some valid ground to charge them for cheating.More so if the salon is an established brand with market presence.

I had a friend who was compensated $5000 for a blotched perming job which resulted in her hair damaged beyond repair. She had to wear a wig until her new hair grew out. Then again, she went to a reputable salon, and the salon offered to pay her the amount before the issue went to CASE.

Maybe you can go to the CASE website http://www.case.org.sg/ for more information.Good luck!

A lot of people don't realize that the Better Business Bureau is an organization that people pay to belong to as a member in good standing. It does very little damage to the actual business when you report them. So... You have on the one hand, business owners that buy their way in to make themselves appear reputable and then you have the other side of the coin where getting reported, doesn't actually do anything.

First, try telling the manager in a calm, respectful manner exactly what happened. Take it as a lesson learned, grow it out or wear a wig and tell everyone you know not to use their services.

I went through something similar with the Hair Cuttery (in Aberdeen, MD). I went in for a hair cut with the back of my hair to be stacked and the lady gave me two bald spots. When I complained about it, she said I did it. I spoke with the manager and called corporate. Nothing was ever done about it though. The girl still works there. No one offered to fix it (yes, it could have been fixed by shaving the rest to match!), they just gave me my money back. Good luck!

If it is a chain salon, call their coporate office and share your experience. If it is privately owned make sure you talk to the Better Business Bureau in your city.

Better business bureau. Most of the time they get called on their behavior (when someone complains to the BBB) and they might even offer your free service or give you your money back.

If it's a private salon then talk to the salon manager. If it's a corp. salon (regis etc.) then call their corporate office. That's about all you can do though, sorry.

You should go in there and ask for their manager and yell your head off in front of him saying you really don't appreciate BIG mistakes then see if you can fix your hair..no pay!
