why do they say its bad for ur hair to straighten it while it is wet with a wet straightner? my hair is thick heat dont burn my hair esaily i put mi wet-to-dry on the highest setting and it didnt even straighten my hair all the way!

Okay so back in the beggining of February to like early June my hair was really really short. I've been growing it out over the summer, so I've recovered about 4 and a half inches in 3 months (it's a little over shoulder length now). And I was wondering if I flat iron, on top of dying my hair, will it get damaged? And if so, is there a safer less damaging way to do it? {I do NOT want to use chemical relaxers just so you know. I hate the stuff and my hair doesn't really need it.} Please and thank you!

yes, yes, I put it in a ponytail, wear visors, headbands, etc..but maybe it's time for a change...My hair is straight, thick, one length with some wisps for bangs and light brown - brown with natural blondish highlights. TY 4 your op!

Okay, so about a week ago i bleached my hair. I then dyed it almost black & now its grey. Everytime i touch it it falls out. I mean, in chunks. This is the worst ive EVER fried it. Im dying it now black again, & i heard dying it darker does condition it a little, but when i wash this dye out, is it going to make my hair worse?

All I did was ask a simple question about black hair and I was attacked. Not once did I say I laughed at her, not once did I state it was wrong or distasteful. I specifically stated I can understand change. It is a damn shame when one can not ask a question about another race without immediately being accused of hatred or being disrespectful. Last night at work a black temp arrived and she was just the joke on everyones lips all night. She had her hair died blond and had green contacts in her eyes. I'm just curious, why would a black woman attempt to have white cosmetic characteristics. I can understand wanting a change. As women we all want that.
