I want to get my hair chemically straightened, what all do they do, and can I do it myself at home and how ?

im trying to keep an emo hairstyle. my parents especially my mom are very much against it, though. my mom isnt into it being in my eyes. i like the 'swoop' and the 'private eye' or 'bob'. -but that ones in my eyes... or one. so any suggestions? and if so please include some sort of picture or like a link.

This salon is located in Sacramento, Ca. There are 6 hydraulic chairs, 5 dryers, 3 shampoo bowls, 3 shampoo chairs, a washer and dryer. Currently, 5 chairs are occupied by stylists.

ok, Im trying to find a simple do it at home, washable hair streaking kit. I love coloring my hair so it looks really cool, but the suff Iget is WAY to expensive, plus its only like one color per pakage, Im not allowed to actually COLOR my hair, but I can do washables, and i do like the funky colors type stuff, like pink, magents, red, blue, all tht stuff, so I need a site or a brand or something, that I can get tht has alot of colors, is washable, and tht I can do at home, plz plz help me out, school is starting soon and I dont wanna waste all my money on my hair

ok, i am a 14 yr old girl and i have just below the sholder length, brown (not dark, not light, just brown) curly (but i can wear it straight eaisly w/ a flat iron). and i realy want a totally new and FUN hair cut and style...i am getting it done on friday (the fourth). i was just wondering why its so much better. also i know some ppl with the cheap straighteners that theier hairs get messed up if they sleep on it. Did this work better and does it stay straight even if you sleep on it overnight?
I have a cheap ceramic straightener I like how it looks but it wont stay stright over night and i have no tim ein the morning. Its either chi straigtener or the perm.

I have naturally curly/ wavy hair that no matter what I do to it I end up with poof head hair ( really frizzy)...I've tried all the "over the counter" products..(I'm a wife and a mom can't afford the salon stuff).. do any of you have any suggestions that have similar hair problems.

Has anyone tried the new line of Herbal Essence stuff, they have a non-frizz shampoo, conditioner and gel/ cream type stuff. If you tried it how well did it work?

I also straighten my hair 2-3 times a week, but it was nasty frizzy before I ever started to straighten it, which most times calms the frizz.
