Straight perms don't work. They do more damage than good.
Your best bet is a good ceramic flat iron. The Chi is awesome!

Women of color perms are called relaxers which chemically relaxes the curls and I guess you mean flat iron. Its a appliance that is heated and has two sides that are flat and you place hair in and start from close to the roots as possible and slowly run the iron down to the ends and your hair has been straightened by a flat iron.

Of course. A straight perm is called a "bionic perm". It flattens your hair and make it like a tv commercial model's.

yes you can get a straightening perm and it is called straightening perm. When you get your hair flattened it is the same thing as straightening your hair.

yes, its called a relaxer and i've never really heard of getting your hair "flattened." you can get your hair flat ironed, which straightens your hair without the chemicals
