I have owned three straightening irons. The first one was the best one that I could find at Sally's Beauty Supply. It cost about 35.00. It did OK, but I later found out about Chi and I bought one of those.

The Chi iron was 1000 times better. I don't really know why it's better, but it straightens faster and with less effort. It did not damage my hair as much either.

My son dropped my Chi and broke it in two. I went back to Sally's beauty supply for some shampoo, and I noticed a straightening iron on the desk that said "compare to Chi".

I asked the girl about it, and she said that it had been getting rave reviews. I have a Sally's card, so the price I paid was around 50.00. I think it's less than 60.00 for people who don't have the card.

It is called a GVP, or Generic Value Product iron. It does just as well as the Chi for way less money. You would not be disappointed with this iron.
