you need to buy red/gold corrector and put it in your toner. IT is a purple liquid that you get at the beauty supply store. There is also a purple shampoo that clairol makes that helps with brassiness too.

Heyy... I'm having the same problem I think. I have dirty blonde hair with VERY slight reddish tints that no one really noticed before but I used sun-in in my hair which is supposed to slightly lighten your hair and enhance highlights.... unfortunatly my hair got a lot blonder and redder and I don't know what to do.... is my situation like yours? Maybe we could talk or email?

If the color says Ash, it will turn red. Most people have natural red pigments in their hair and dying it pulls it out. There's certain over the counter dyes that will make your hair blonde without the red but you will only find them at places like beauty supply stores not at Walgreens ect.

good luck...try silver toner..it didnt work for me tho..i had to buy a darker blonde to neutralise the color...i gave up n went dark again..do not just dye over bleach hair it will go green...u must use a red dye first as a base..then go darker

go to a professional anytime you want to lighten your hair drastically. Most of the time when you lighten at home, it tends to turn reddish or orange. good luck

wait a little bit and then at super walmart there is this nice and easy die first it will re-dye it dark blonde it will be really dark blonde and just wash it twice a day and it will slowly get lighter
