Depends on what color your hair is. If your hair is brown or black, you'll need to buy bleach and developer. If you have light brown or red, then you need the bottle of color and again developer. Depending on how light you want to go and where you start, there are different volume weight on the developer (20, 40, etc.) the higher the volume the faster and lighter your hair will get.
One note, if you've never used professional products before, you need to do a test strand to see what the results are going to look like - you don't want to end up orange. My suggestion is to pick a color that's maybe 1 shade lighter than your natural color. Then if you want to go lighter, you can later.
Also, I wouldn't suggest coloring your own hair. If you've never done it, or had it done, you won't know what color to look for. Example - browns should NEVER buy ash colors. If you want to give more information I'd be happy to lend some more advice on what to get.
