My grandson is seven, he has thick coarse carpet like hair, what and how should we manage his hair. He is the only one with this kind of hair in the family. Its pitch black has no style, no matter what we use, gel won't even hold his hair in place. Help.....

I have tried mederma in the mornings before makeup and it ends up rubbing and flaking off when I apply my make up. i've even waited an hour to let it sink in and it didn't help. SOOO I guess I'll do it at night and while hanging around the house. BUT when is the question? Before or after I put on my retina-micro. I have scars from acne and I finally don't break out anymore. Also, does aloe, vitamin e oil really help acne scars? Please help me ladies !!

K well yesterday I got really bored in Civics class and ended up coloring my nails with permanent black marker... I know I know it was a really dumb thing to do but anyways I tryed to take it off with nail polish remover and it mostly worked. but now it wont come off in the cuticle and side areas! I tryed pushing back my cuticles but it still isnt comeing off! what can I do to get it off?

this question isnt for me..but my friend is in desperate need of help so she turned to me..and im turning to you guys! she told me today that some dark freckles have appeared on her face. she is asian and her parents and grandparents have freckles but they haven't faded through time. my friend is really paranoid about them and is struggling to accept them. are there any treatments for this type of freckle? (dark, on asian skin)

My hair is sort of long, like eight inches below my shoulders. It's sort of a dirty blonde. I had it tapered a bit a few months ago, but that's mostly grown out so for the most part it's all one length. When I let it air dry it's mostly straight but a bit frizzy and I get little waves by my face (SUPER annoying!). I want to change it. I'm willing to get it cut to a couple inches below my shoulders and layered, but the layers all have to be long enough that I can pull everything up into a ponytail.

Pictures would be awesome. Thank you so mcuh for your time.

When I say gray, I mean gray! They were the length of her hair and they were gray and coarse. My mom told me that she got them at 13 and it is hereditary, but 6 seems too young! Is this normal?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought you pay a hairdresser to cut, color, and style your hair the way you want. If so then how come my hairdresser refuses to dye my hair blonde? I am a brunette now and don't see why this is such an issue. I have been with this stylist for over 5 years and never had a problem before.

Ok, I have bought already two pairs of sunglasses that I really like but there is only one problem. The sunglasses leave a red mark on the top part of my nose after I have wearing them for a long time. It's like an indentation on my nose from the sunglasses. Is there a way that I can prevent this from happening? The sunglasses are cute and I feel comfortable in them, but I cannot keep buying more and more because of this problem? Does this happen to anyone else? What can I do?

My daughter has had a white crinkly/crepe tiered skirt for over a year now that she has never worn. So she decided to wear it to her 8th grade graduation. We bought shoes to match last night and she has a really cute tank top to go with it that has a few sparkles.

I noticed it had a couple very faint spots on it, so I GENTLY rubbed some Shout on them and washed it by hand with a little detergent and a splash of bleach. I shook it out to hang it to dry and.....THERE WAS A RIP WHERE I PUT THE SHOUT!!! She is just going to have a fit because she really loves the whole outfit.

I'm thinking about pulling the fabric together over the torn area and put a couple stitches in it. That would make it look as if the skirt is pulled up about 2 inches further than the rest above the right thigh, kind of like a slit, but not...hard to explain really. But anyway, since it's a bohemian kind of skirt, do you think this would look silly? Or do you have another suggestion besides a patch?
