not at all. I know a family with gray hair. I used to go to school with her and she had gray hair. Her little brother was 9 at the time and he had a full head of gray/white hair. Their parents have gray hair too. Gray hair should not be the main issue in your child's life. There are more important thing to worry about like a good education. Its just hair and it doesn't look strange so don't worry about it. If your really freaking out then ask her doctor.
Maybe when she is 12 she can dye her hair :)
Good Luck

A parenting classification can assist you to study a thank you to set limits and wisely discipline your little ones. Hitting them is only no longer robust, as you have indicated right here. it somewhat is the lack of supervision and bounds it somewhat is the main nicely known difficulty. little ones are inherently outstanding. undesirable seeds are a myth or tremendously rare hobbies that have genetic motives. it is your parenting that has the little ones behaving this sort. You sound crushed. you need to oversee your little ones extra intently (clipper incident) and confirm that unsafe home equipment are placed away after use. experience that they had shrink their faces or ears with the clippers? raising young little ones is a complicated and 24 hour and day, seven days a week profession. you desire help. touch an corporation like the Salvation army or planned Parenthood to be certain the place which you would be waiting to take some parenting instructions.

I had my first gray hair when I was 9. I now have some gray hair, but not enough to motivate me to color it. Mine are also coarse and my son thinks they look funny because they kinda stand up and out on my head. Oh well, better gray hair than no hair at all.

Normal, well if not normal it's at least nothing to worry about. I too had a grey spot, slightly smaller than a golf ball on the top of my head when I was younger. I suppose it's still there? (I don't really know, I keep it bald now) White hair runs in my family I had an uncle snow white by 20.

my son is 7 and has several gray hairs (actually i call them his silver hairs). i was told that this is not very common but every once in a while a child will even be born with a few gray hairs. i have also been told by several older folks that it is a sign of good luck for a child to have silver or gray hair!!!!!!!!!

There may be other reasons but I have heard that children can get grey hairs if their lives are trouble or if they are very stressed. Are you going through a divorce, death in the family, or something like that? Is she being abused by another friend or relative? Is she mentally healthy? Did she hit her head and now sees things, such as demons or hallucinations?
If it's not stress like this, I doubt it's anything to worry about. I started getting grey hairs at 14 because sometimes if you dye or highlight your hair prematurely you'll get them too.
But this may be a sign that you need to be alerted to something in her life that blows.

I have a friend who's always had a small patch of gray hair. I met him when he was 15, but he had it long before that.

There are probably more important developmental issues to consider other than a few gray hairs. That said, if you are really that concerned, it's best to make an appointment to consult your child's pediatrcian.

Some hair just loses pigment or never has it. This is totally normal. I have a child that comes to me for haircuts on a regular basis that has all brunette hair, except a half-dollar sized spot on his crown is pure white. It just happens.
Technically, you could color it. But it's nothing to worry about.
