this question isnt for me..but my friend is in desperate need of help so she turned to me..and im turning to you guys! she told me today that some dark freckles have appeared on her face. she is asian and her parents and grandparents have freckles but they haven't faded through time. my friend is really paranoid about them and is struggling to accept them. are there any treatments for this type of freckle? (dark, on asian skin)

how pretty!! so unique.
i wouldnt want to change them if i could.
but i understand your friends problem.

i am extreemely pale, with freckles. so they stand out lots. and i hated them SO FRIKKEN MUCH. i searched and searched for something to get rid of them, but nothing can.
maybe laser seurgery,,, but i reallly wouldnt suggest that.

But eventually I got used to my freckles, and sometimes people acutally compliment me on them, so its really not a problem for me anymore. besides, freckles usually fade a little in the winter. i dunno where you live, but if its in a place thats usually cold, then thats good for your insecure freckled friend.

omg...its snowing out right now...isnt it suposed to be may??grr..no skirt for me today lol.

So yup, hope that helped,
tell your friend to show off her uniqueness, not cover them up.
who wants to look just like everyone else anyway?
I know at first she'll be like "whatever, uniqueness, suuure theyre pretty, theyre not pretty theyre ugly!" thats what i said at least lol.
but she'll get over it and learn to accept them eventually.
maybe she'll even think of them as a complimenting feature,
but anyways
must be off now sweetheart(s),,
lunch awaits me =D lol

Freckles are quite cute. Plus, you said its not so noticeable so its ok. When you are older you can easier cover them with foundation but theres no need really cause freckles are really cute to have. I'm the same ethnicity as you and I naturally have a few freckles, in the area of my cheeks( under my eyes as well) don't worry and don't let it bother you.

Wear 30 SPF every day.

Avoid sun exposure.

Do not try over the counter fading creams. Such products can cause unwanted side effects on people w/ dark complexions.

If she really is worried, she needs to consult a dermatologist. Prescription Retin-A or Differin may help. A dermatologist will be able to recommend safe, effective products.

Asian chicks are hot. Add freckles and you got me hooked.

She should ask Lucy Liu about that. I think they're hot. But I know they are sometimes frowned upon in Asian cultures. I don't get it.
