All my friends and relatives who have dyed their hair have rough hair. What's the cheapest and the best dye which does not make the hair rough? I heard many people advising me not to dye hair because it dries and causes hair fall. Is it true?

I'm obsessed with jeans, and spend a lot of money on expensive jeans...but I started losing lots of weight recently and my jeans just don't fit the same. I don't want to have to completely restart my jean wardrobe, so is there a way I can alter the jeans I have to make them a tighter/smaller size? I'm only familiar with altering the hemline, but it would be cool if they could make your jeans tighter.
