I seen someone have it on t.v. but can all tattoo artists do that? Is it really painful? Will my lip swell alot? Could you tell me anything that you know about it? Thanks

you can get it done, but it will hurt and it will swell and you'll have to have it done multiple times. just like tattoos on the hand (palm side) it will take multiple applications to make it take and stay looking fresh, and it'd probably have to be touched up more often. good luck!

Yes, you can get one. There is a lot of swelling and I've been told that it hurts really bad. Not a big fan of the "inside the bottom lip" tattoo though. Always looks like a prison tat.
Oh, and no.....not all tattoo artists can pull it off. Most won't even try it.

yes you can.. the only problem with inner lip tattoos is that they dont last long.. i mean they will be there for ever but it will fade and look like pooh in the long run.. on the pain, that depends on the person and they threshold for pain.. on the bright side the mouth heals a lot faster then any other...
p.s the lip tats are.. well how should i say this.. umm gay!

my brother has a tattoo on the inside of his lip and he said it sounds more painful then it really is...plus my brother is kind of a punk haha so it couldnt be that bad..for the firt few days my brothers lip was a little swollen but nothin to serious... you couldnt even tell but it did hurt him a little to smile haha

Yea u are able to get a tattoo their. Ive seen plenty of people with that. Its about as painful as any other tattoo that you can get.. i dont think it would hurt that bad tho.

Yes, I know a girl who got fu*ck off tattooed backwards on the inside of her lower lip, lol. Looks painful though.

Whats the point of a tattoo there? are you going to go around with your lip pulled down so everyone can see it?

I think your crazy.... Not because you want a tat but inside your lip. OUCH!!!! I have 10+ tats but why in your mouth. You can't get that lazered off if you change your mind later... But to answer - yes you can get one there but not all tattooist do them. You'd have to ask around & see their work (portfolio) first.

Yes you can, but it will not last forever, and i would imagine it would be quite painful. And who would see it? No one...
Anyway, it's totally your choice, talk to your local tattoo artist.
