I've decided that I'm fed up with my hair. It's unhealthy, damaged, split ends galore.. I have quite the addiction to straightening irons and hair blowdryers.. I'm wondering if there's any ideas on how I could ween myself off of using them.
These are the problems I have:
1. Split ends
2. Annoying kink in my straight hair, which forces me to use straight iron
***3. Whenever I wash/brush my hair sooo many strands fall out for some reason
4. Hair feels like straw

My hair falls about an inch and a half below my shoulders, and growing it out is important to me..
but is it a good idea to cut off maybe 3/4 of an inch? Would this help?

I also dye my hair every so often, will it help if I stop this?

If I use a deep conditioning treatment will this help?

What's a hot oil treatment? Is it effective/expensive? What does it do?

Please help me,
I need to change my hair!

I wash my face once in the morning, once at night, and use an oil-free mousturizer and apply powder. But my face, especially on the forehead and nose area, becomes oily and shiny a few hours after I've applied makeup. Why is this? Is it just because of the natural oils in my skin? And what can I do about this?

I'm currently 14, and I will be 15 later this year. For my birthday, I would like to get a lip piercing, but before I ask my parents, I want to do a little research. So I've been looking around online, reading about the care and such for before and after, so I can show my parents I have some responsibility. I want to know (a) what is the procedure of it and (b) how badly does it hurt (from a scale of 1-10, 10 being the most painful) and in which way it hurts, such as a burning pain, stinging pain, ect.

What can I do?
Shampoos, good conditioners, or at home treatments that I can make, what helps. I want to let my hair grow out really long, so I need to try and get it back to being healthy. What can I do, because I still need to use heat styling tools because I cannot do anything with my hair! Thanks for your help guys!
