Shampoos, good conditioners, or at home treatments that I can make, what helps. I want to let my hair grow out really long, so I need to try and get it back to being healthy. What can I do, because I still need to use heat styling tools because I cannot do anything with my hair! Thanks for your help guys!

you need to get trims even though you are growing out your hair - it will grow in so much better.

I think all Pantene products are the best.

Firstly, It depends on how damaged your hair is. If it's really really damaged there's nothing much you can do at home to make it look better except to wait and let the healthy hair grow out. But using a really good moisturising conditioner does help a bit. Oh and OLIVE OIL is known to be really good for dry hair. There are ones that are especially for hair care and they smell nice. Other than that, what I usually do is to get professional help from a hair dresser and get hair treatments done. The most important thing is to tell them what kind of results you want.

Secondly, your DIET is really important. Make sure you drink lots of water to keep your hair and body hydrated and soy milk is good too (there are some really delicious ones in stores). Eat lots of healthy green vegetables and oily fish (e.g. Salmon). Take multivitamin supplements such as Iron and Vitamin B, they will help with the growth of new hair.. your new hair will be shiny, thick and healthy!

I know you don't want to do this but you have to cut your hair about an inch to get the damaged ends off. Use a leave in conditioner that you apply on towel dried hair and then style as usual. You can get the leave in conditioner at salons or beauty supply store. A good one that I use is by A/G and it is called Fast Food. You want to apply it mostly on your ends. If you apply to much and at the root it will weigh down your hair and make it flat.

Go to your stylist and ask what they would recommend you to use. If you are trying to grow your hair out and you want it to be healthy then you will need their help. Most of the retail store brands have alot of wax and other drying agents in them that will only hinder your desire for long hair. Your stylist will be able to set you up on a schedule of trims and offer advice that is better than standing in a store reading the back of a bottle of stuff you have no idea what it is going to do.

Well, once a week try to apply coconut oil. make sure that you apply direct to the scalp. It is wise if you could ask someone else to apply it for you. Massage your scalp for 15 to 20 minutes leave it further 10 minutes before wash. If the weather is cold pour the amount of oil which you are going to use in a small bowl and warm it in hot water.

go to an upscale hair salon and ask them to set you up with product that will help protect your hair while you are heat styling. use more expensive products like TIGI they are pricier but you get what you pay for. get a good hair cut get rid of the damaged hair keep away from any type of chemicals to the hair (dying, perms) things of that nature because they will only damage your hair more.

Nutrogena has this "hair mask" it's like a mask that you leave on ion the shower for 5 minutes, and it supposevely replenishes moisture and repairs split ends. I have the same problem, I want my hair to be long, but it gets damaged it I don't cut it.

i used to also have damaged hair. first try not to use straightners or curlers that much and try to get a yearly trim. if you swim alot that could be the problem. if it is then try this hair oil, proclaim glossing polish, after you wash your hair towel dry it. then rub some all over your hair, a few drops should be good, then blow dry your hair and brush it. that should help your hair.

Pantene and Loreal are good.
Get regular trims, hair will grow longer and thicker much faster, getting rid of split ends.
