I have two dimples on each cheek...one deeper than the other.... but how did they get there to begin with?

They're formed by when your skin is connected to a muscle that pulls the skin with it when you smile. I heard that dimples are really flaws. I don't remember where, but it might've been on that show they show once in awhile on Dateline called (I could be wrong on what it's called) but it's that Fact or Myth segment. It's called something like that. Anyway, I tried looking for a site that would give better info, but below is all I could find. It tells you the procedure on how doctors can make them for you, but it will still give you an idea on how they're naturally formed. =) Hope this helps.

Dimples are caused by weaknesses in the underlying muscle.

Basically how the cheek muscles connect and pull when you smile. Don't feel bad about it...dimples are cute. : )
