I recently dyed my white skirt black but the stitching is still white I emailed dylon and they told me that the material is probably synthetic so wont dye and there is nothing I can do. I really love this skirt please has anyone got any suggestions?

My mom has to think about it (which more than likely means a big fat NO) and my dad probably won't accept me if I do get it done. I understand that it WILL leave a scar on me just like a tattoo would but mom thinks I am too youg... I am 13 years old, I know right from wrong. Why are so many people tan, yet if you TALK to people, or read articles, yahoo answers, etc, everyone says, oh tanning is bad for you, you should not do it!!! I know here where I live, MOST girls get a nice golden glow in the spring and summer, if not all year round. How long do you think it will be before we truly change to the point of finding tans unattractive? I mean, they used to worship pure white skin on women-will we ever go back to that? (PS I too think I look better with a tan, sigh.)

First, is there a difference between any of the three?

And second, how can anyone enjoy being in black all the time??? Black clothes, black makeup (even for the guys, which is really wrong in my opinion), wacko haridos... I'm sorry to judge, and I know it can be a way for people to feel they're not alone, but still... what could be so reassuring and fun about living in a world of such dark and... vulagrity? I don't mean to cause anger, thinking that I'm insulting anyone from these groups, I'm just very confused about it.... and what about those people who cut themselves??? Is that really the only way they can let out anger and pain? Can't they just have a good cry and punch a pillow if needed or something??? A lot better than what certain others do... anyway, please don't answer with disrespect as I have said nothing of the sort and thank you for reading! Only real answers please. Thanks.
