My mom has to think about it (which more than likely means a big fat NO) and my dad probably won't accept me if I do get it done. I understand that it WILL leave a scar on me just like a tattoo would but mom thinks I am too youg... I am 13 years old, I know right from wrong. What should I do... is anyone else having that same problem?

My question to you is WHY??? Why would anyone want to do that to themselves? And I agree, you're too young to be making that type of decision. DON'T DO IT!

God bless your mom for taking a stand in your behalf.They must love you .
Do you know more now then you did 5 years ago ?
Do you think in another 5 years things will change for you ?
perhaps meet some one that is more mature and fall in love with .?
will you be proud of that scare then? time has a funny way of showing us what was really important .
And how many moms out there are regretting that tattoo they just had to have .
Try something that is not permanent

I wouldn't let you either. Not with the price of dental care these days. The metal of the jewelry will scratch your tooth enamel and could lead to major dental repairs. Those cost a lot and can be very painful. Sorry kid but I doubt if you find much support on that one. Nice try though.

well im 14 and im getting my lip pierced by next tues hopefully but if you really want it you should wait because my mum said she wanted to think about it too and im allowed now =]
but there is alot of aftercare and side effects involved so maybe you should research it a lil and see if you still want it cos im even having some doubts =|

Your only 13 wait til' your older. You may want that now but, you may like regret it in like 4 or 5 years.

I dont think you will look pretty with your lip pierced. By the way, it will lead to some health problems. Dont do it. U are good enough as what u are.

for one you are too young to be thinking about getting your lip pierced.maybe you should wait a few more years before thinking of doing that.

EWW! why would you want your lip peirced? trust me your mom is doing the smart thing by not allowing you to get it done!! thank your mom! lip rings are disgusting and you cna barely talk wiht them or eat wiht them and they are just a nuiscance!!!!! please save your lip and appearance dont get one!!!
