I want to make cute things besides the common figurines or jewelry with sculpey. Any reccommendations? I am somewhat experienced with clay and sculpey, but not very good. Also, I'm loooking for ideas other than the ones from the Sculpey website.

I havent been able to find any shops that sell any stone carving anything, been to hardware stores and craft stores like michaels.
Specifically in the northwest, and even more specifically in mass.
I checked online and found sculpture house site, but nothin to compare to, so dunno if its pricey.

I have a friend who wants to start melting glass bottles in their kiln. They have all the info on how to melt the bottles, but haven't been able to find anything about adding labels. We have seen items online that have labels on them....are they just glued to the bottom of the flattened bottle, or is there another method for putting labels on melted items?

Thanks!

I’m seeking information and a value for an ivory statue that I have had for 50 yrs. An importer confirmed that it is solid ivory (elephant because of the size), figure 8 ¾” tall, base 2”tall, 2 ¾” dia. He said that it was now illegal for me to own such a piece. He also said that it was unusual in that the figure was Christian not oriental or African. There is a perfect circular mark on the left shoulder that he suggest might be a plug and speculated that it could have been used for smuggling in a small hole beneath. The statue was purchased in the Panama Canal Zone. Any information you could share would be greatly appreciated, especially about the legal aspects and value.
