On the tin it reads, "The Violin King" "ARTISTS BAND" " Made in Germany" "F.A.Bohm"
"D.R.W.Z. No9208409". The harmonica has the dates "1850" to "1900"

I want to fire my greenware tomorrow, haven't done it for awhile and cannot remember the exact time, etc. on firing, opening, etc. Can anyone please refresh my memory? There are no glazes in this batch, just straight greenware.

Hi, recently, I attended pottery course. With some leftover stoneware, I made a few mini vases. Troublesome to bring back for firing. Okay to not fire it but just paint it with acrylic paint after they dry up? What vanish can I use to prevent staining on the display shelves after putting the vase there for some time. I have used normal oil vanish on paper clay before and the base will stain the display shelf. I would like the base to be painted though people advised me to leave it unglazed. Can anyone help? tks:)

Does anyone know about Dioramas? We have a very large one of the Flying Cloud "1850" and it is a molded material of some kind. We wanted to know what the material is. I can send you a picture if you need it. The background looks like blackish felt and is somehow formed around the whole ship.

I made a sci-fi helmet out of cardboard over layed with many layers of ducktape. and believe me it looks real, like somthing for a movie and fits comfortably. probably safer than using a paint ball helmet. anyway, I need somthing to cover the ducktape like a shell that is either hard and looks like metal. maybe a glue compound or somthing that will harden like a shell?

anything??

I am a novice sculpture but I know that if I were to study and practice I can duplicate anyone in clay. I was wondering I could make a living at it?

I found an old bucket that was buried about 4 feet underground. It is solid brass, weighing about 30 pounds. It has a stamp on the bottom reading: American Mastercraft Phelps Dodge 1834. It also has a small copper ring inlaid in the center of the bottom.

Hi there!

I was wondering whether anyone could tell me what the different types of crown found on English pottery mean. Does anyone know any history sites regarding crowns, or does anyone have any information?

And can anyone tell me what a crown with 2 crosses either side of its centre and a cross on top with what looks like 3 dashes on the base signifies? What period does it represent?

Thanks!
