I am going to be using a heavy plastic round mold (man in the moon) and am wondering if before pouring plaster into mold, should I spray surface with PAM to make removal of figure easier or will it compromise the surface and/or plaster consistency? Your suggestions are really appreciated! Happy Holidays!

she screams back at me, sometimes repeating the words I said to her. If I threaten to spank her she even raises her voice louder telling me that she is going to decide what to do...at times she screams bad words to us....this happens when she is at home with both me and my wife....when we are separately, with her, she acts normal and gentle. it seems that the presence of us both and her being tired, spark some rage in her....Please HELP solve this problem.....

I forgot to ask my ceramics teacher this question and today was the last day of class! I made a mug, biqued it, painted it with englobe (sp?), and then painted cone 05 glaze on it and fired it. It might have been cone 5 glaze though (oops). At what point/temperature does the piece become functional? I want to give the mug as a gift for christmas, but wasn't sure if the person recieving it could actually drink out of it! How can I tell? When can you use the piece for drinking out of? HELP!?!

I forgot whether my teacher said it was safe for just dishwasher or whether it's microwave safe too.
We used a high-fire clay, and heated at temperatures that the teacher said would've ruined the Raku glazes...that's pretty much all the info I can remember. I was going to give my Grandma a mug for Christmas, but it just occured to me she makes instant coffee by heating it in the microwave.
